Some spaces announce themselves. This one is barely a room — and it says more for being small.
Light doesn't land here so much as live inside the walls, translucent panels glowing from within rather than lit from without, the way paper holds a lamp instead of reflecting one. There is a discipline in this kind of smallness: nothing to hide behind, nothing spare.
Only the copper behind the bar is allowed to change. Everything else holds still, deliberately unfinished in the way permanence never is — while the copper alone will darken, year by year, into something closer to memory than material.
